Ingredients
- 1 TB EVOO
- 1 onion, minced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger root, finely chopped or grated
- 1/2 tsp cloves
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp curry
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 2 1/2 cups garbanzo beans (chickpeas)
- chicken, if desired
- 1/2 cup water (Omit if using canned beans and use liquid from can)
Directions
- Heat oil in frying pan and add onions until tender
- Stir in garlic and spices. Cook for 1 minute.
- Mix in garbanzo beans and water and cook until heated through (add cooked chicken if using)
